Gush Katif Bridal Shower

The Committee for Gush Katif Bridal Showers has much to celebrate, B”H. Over the past four and a half years, we have showered over 500 young couples from Gush Katif (as of Sukkot 5771).

The destruction of Gush Katif and the Jewish communities of the Gaza Regional Council was a terrible blow to the Land of Israel, the economy of the State of Israel and especially the 10,000 individuals – grandparents, parents and children – who suddenly found themselves homeless and unemployed.

This year, we were excited to partner with The Tiferet Center in Ramat Beit Shemesh to shower one of our dear kallot. The students threw a very special shower for her with food, music and dancing on the Thursday of Thanksgiving weekend. Students ran the event from beginning to end, including fundraising, decorating, music and programming. The bride and her mother were extremely moved by our students’ chesed and dedication. It was an inspiring event for everyone involved!
