The Sweet Taste of Success
Baruch ran a successful apiary (honey “farm”) in Gush Katif. When his family moved to the Lachish area after the Disengagement, Baruch had to also relocate his business.
He re-started small and made slow but steady progress as word spread about his cold-pressed, additive and preservative-free honey. The next step in expansion was to crack the export market.
He came to JobKatif with a plan to buy 200 new beehives, as well as equipment and packaging needed to get the products up to export standards. After receiving extensive business counseling and a start up-grant from JobKatif, Baruch’s Feuchtvangler Honey has an export contract pending with Denmark, and his products are currently sold through natural food stores, private orders, and a special gift catalogs.
